Out of curiosity if you want to brace the floor to the side why not use a gusset something like this . One fore and one aft of the engine on each side and one on both sides further back .

and even a few old ones re-powered that may surprise you all. We
are giving some old ABC propellers new life here in Michigan.
We are getting ready for August and September racing.
