is the k45 header the same size as a 21 pipe the one i got from Al hobbs is the same size as a 21 pipe is this right ?

They are smaller than the other 45 headers that I have. Substantial reducion in bore size even from the aluminum case casting.
The A/A 45 exhaust header is designed to telescope into the A/A 45 tuned pipes. It also telecopes into other popular 45 size tuned pipes such as CMB.
The photos are of an A/A 45 header telescoping into an A/A 45 muffled pipe and an Irwin 45 pipe. The third photo compares an A/A 45 header with a 67/80 tuned pipe.
The idea behidd a telescoping header/pipe combination is to give a better seal and to avoid two aluminum ends rubbing against each other and damaging an expensive tuned pipe.
