Hello folks. I’m sure it’s been asked before. I did a search and can’t seem to find answer.

What I have is .67 CMB and adding a CMB remote needle. The question is when mounting should I be turning the main body out before securing ? I see the hex head cap on too for maunal adjusting. I wondering if I have to adjust the body of it first. Hopefully that makes sense.
Pic attached I have it unscrewed some. This area is in question. Also second question. What would be idea staring point on maunal adjustment from closed?
Thank you

You did not attach a pic.

You adjust the main body to suit your mounting arrangement. Ideally this would be as tight as it can go on the threads making sure it can turn with the full throw of your servo arm. Back the end needle out some before you set this. It can bottom out before the body bottoms out. Then adjust the end needle to get the flow you want. This is where a flow meter is nice. Can get you in the ball park before you mount anything. No one is going to be able to give you a turn setting since they don't know where the body is at the starting point.

What flow meter? I can flow my CMB67 and see what it is at. I have a boris meter.

Flowing my needle dry it comes in at 54. 67 hydro. I would set it to 48 and test from there. Set you servo arm and needle arm 50%. That way you can go fat or lean with no issues. if it bottoms out either way, then I would adjsut the end needle to give you more or less depending on what you need.

Great info Mike, with our Boris and the CMB 67 we always start at 50 and tune a little from there. Finished and won many heats with that setting.

Still curious on where to start with the LSN? Any suggestions? I can flow remote needle all i want but the LSN needs to be set as well

Thank you

Back the low needle out so it’s flowing like it’s not there then run the engine once you get it to run being rich you can set the low to idle you may have to open the throttle to keep it running throttling it up as needed. In the past when I ran nitro I never used the low speed needle cutting it off.Always better to be rich on the low setting especially when breaking in a new motor I have seen people fighting the needle setting caused by low needle setting.
