Hey Happy Boaters,

Have been captivated by the complexities of model boating for years.

Recently coming back into the sport and look forward to having fun! I am not naturally a competitive person but the sound and smell of a nitro engine get me more excited than drag racing. I have had a few street cars and was lucky enough to grow up in an era where I got the chance to pick up several old muscle cars real cheap and ran them as hard as possible; 69 Mach 1 351W, 66 Mustang 302 +++, 66 GTO 400 and transplanted 455 olds rocket motor +++, Mercury cyclone 390 GT; became expert on Holley Carbs, traveled in excess of 125 m.p.h. in my own built car before I was 17.

Started RC w/ dumas cracker-box Cox Black Widow 049 just setting the rudder and letting it go, then built several versions of a Deep V hull with a K&B 7.5 IB racing engine in 1980 but had a not so fun time trusting a guy running a hobby shop in Panama City who sold me all the wrong stuff.

Started having fun when I gave up on the IB and went with a dumas Tunnel Hull K&B 7.5 OB 2CH Kraft radio.

Now I have 4 project boats: an old dumas Tunnel Hull w/ K&B 3.5cc, Prather 7.5 OB Tunnel Hull, Prather clone 11cc OB Tunnel Hull and a 60" Enforcer Stiletto / Zenoah gas boat. Recently joined NAMBA and met a few cool people with the Orlando Culvert Dodgers.

My main purpose in this sport is to build something that stays together, make friends and have fun, period. Hope to meet you at a pond somewhere in Florida soon!
