This was my first real Racer. Ran Mini Gold cup. Probably '84 or '85 Pic shows left front sponson and nose piece of center section after repairs. This due to crash during testing/tuning runs the evening before Gold Cup. After a full afternoon of tweaking I lost the radio. The boat came around buoy six and headed straight to the pit. The Left boom tube caught one of the concrete legs that held up the permanent starting tables in the pit area. Dad and I repaired it til wee hours of night. Ran my three heats the next day. Never really ran worth beans after that...
