The tuned length was changed by reducing the length of the mid-section, not by reducing the head pipe length. Large reductions in head pipe length, reduced low end torque & mid-range torque, according to dyno testing. It should be noted that any reduction in tuned length reduces the pipes total volume; the greater effect when reducing the mid-section. The tuned pipes total volume & engine temperature are connected.
