Small reductions in the stinger dia will raise the engines head temperature & HP rapidly. The same thing happens when the stinger is made longer, but the head temperature & HP rise slowly. Mufflers which reduced the DB reading by five had the least effect on HP readings. Mufflers that reduced the DB reading by ten reduced HP, but brought engine noise down to 80 DB at 50 ft.
