These are the tools required to make rods. From left to right; two mills to make holes in rod blank; 1.625 dia. end mill for profiling sides; .500 dia. mill with .093 radius to machine both sides of rod to .156 thickness; .1875 ball nose end mill for "I"-beam center; .156 thick saw with radius on teeth to cut relief in rod bottom (top); .031 thick saw to cut all oil slots (bottom); & .0625 end mills to cut windows in the retainers.
