The hull is from the beginning a SpeedCraft Stealt mono 48". I extended it to 53", change the bottom and change the strakes. I call it X-Craft 52", because X = for an X-hull and Craft = boat. These two hull's has a type of air pads mounted, a way to try to vent/air the hull to reduce drag. We race in rough water for 8 min heats, therefore I need to have a wet setup, to ride on the whole keel, riding flat on the water.
All of my X-Craft 53" is from the beginning a orginal 48" Speedcraft that I got as new or used. But now I have made a mold on the boat so I dont have to spend that mutch time on extending every hull. It might look like a SpeedCraft but it differs a lot from them. And I have Mike Withely's, owner of SpeedCraftboats approvel of doing that thus My boat differ that mutch it will never be a copycat.
And the good thing is, if people think it run's bad they can say it is a X-Craft or if it run good they can say it is an exteded SpeedCraft, i do not mind.
