I'm curious as to your reason for adding the CF. The Dumas kits are overweight and not a great design to begin with so it seems to me that adding more weight would be detrimental to the boats performance when finished
Thanks very much for your comments, first let me begin by saying that I am an avid follower of your many threads on the web and have used the infomration you have shared for the build of this kit.
This CF material is very thin (less than a sheet of paper) and I applied with a thin coat (per your advise that I have read) of West Systems 105/207. I am being mindfull of the weight but at the same time trying to keep or add strength. So the added weght of this material is negligible.
I know there are better kits out there (my next one will be form ML Boatworks) but this was such a great deal (special from Phil's Hobby Shop).
