A tool post grinder was used to grind both the split tapered collets & their tapered seats. This grinder has been modified & can be mounted on my OD grinder for ID grinding jobs. A single point diamond, held in a custom mount, is used to dress the stone. Notice the heavy towel used to protect the lathe from any stone particles.
