This is my Pro boat 1/8 hydro. I got this boat late in the season 3 years ago. I only ran it a couple times before the pond froze. So from a brand new boat I stripped in down and began mods. I cut out the snorkle and replaced it with wire mesh. Cut a hole in the left side of the cowl and glassed in a bulb for a w/c head pipe. Moved water exits to tips of the wings. The water exiting at high speeds looks like vapour trails comming off the wing tips. The zenoah was modified slightly. I removed the clutch. and added a collet, square slide in shaft end. I added a wt-813 carb and Iridium IX plug. I upgraded the colling system to 3/16 I/D. I added a third pick up and exit so all cooling components have independant flow. I did some minor flow mods to the ports and piston skirt. I used the expansion chamber that came with the boat. I made my own silencer out of a mini shaving can and brass tubing. I reworked the drive by adding three piece thrust washer and made my own drive dog. I have a spare strut that I have been experimenting with. I moved the rudder to the right side of the transom. The hull carries alot more speed through the corners. The radio system is stock. I just re-arranged things a little to make them more user friendly. I added a third micro servo for remote engine shut down. The hull is unchanged except for drain holes I drilled on the inside of the sponsons. I painted the hull myself. U-Tek copper with cobalt blue scallops over a silver base, double pinstripe and a couple coats of clear. The bottom is a standard white to make repairs and touchups easy. I have no recent photo's of engine mods yet..but working on it.
