Brand new hull built by designers Norm Berg and Dave Knowlen. Berg had built the 1978 Atlas Van Lines and was a hot commodity. In 1979, Bernie Little asked him to build the new Miss Budweiser in the same style as the Atlas. When a deal to sell the current Miss Budweiser fell through, Berg took a down payment to build a new Squire Shop. Little cancelled out (and went to Ron Jones) while Berg took an order from the Circus Circus group. The Squire was built with wood and aluminum while the Circus was wood, aluminim and Hexcel. Cost of the hull? $73,000.
