Hi Guys,

I vaguely remember seeing someone post about using thin stick on foam sheeting/ cloth on the inside of their cowl for flotation. I have a cowl with some tight clearances inside and thought that would be the best solution.

I tried searching but couldn't find it. Anyone know where I could find some?

Thanks,

Brian

It comes with sticky back or non sticky. We glue it with CA. We use the same foam for tank padding. Nitro and gas.

WOW, what a flashback Andy. When I first met you at the 95 Winter Nats in Fl. you were walking thru selling orange and blue squares for tank padding. Remember buying for my yellow Mongoose. Still have some in the shop, good stuff.

Well I thought I'd share a few pics. Im really happy with how this came out. Not only does it float and fit over my new hump tank but it'll be a lot easier to find on the course if it does ever come loose.

I used a foam brush to apply a thin layer of silicone to the inside of the cowl. I figured id get a little more working time to get everything straight. I cut out the holes, did a little touch up with the dremel and it was good to go.

Thanks again guys! I hope this thread helps someone else.

Brian

Thanks Brian. I live in the Netherlands and buying it in the US is probably to expensive to shipping, so I'll look around here for something similar.
